Back then, it was called the Australian Board of Control for International Cricket. This administrative body is incorporated to stand as an Australian Public Company with limited guarantee.

Operation

Cricket Australia is responsible for operating all the sides of the national representatives of the Australian Cricket. This includes the side of the youth, the Australian national women’s cricket team and the Australian cricket team. They also host and organize the one day internationals and the Test tours against other nations. They also schedule the home international fixtures. Cricket Australia is also responsible for the regional development of the Pacific region’s Cricket. They develop the cricket in the Pacific regions through the development programs of the International Cricket Council.

Members

The organisations that are involved in Cricket Australia are Cricket New South Wales, Queensland Cricket, South Australian Cricket Association, Tasmanian Cricket Association, Cricket Victoria, and the Western Australian Cricket Association. There are other organizations which are not included as members of cricket Australia but still participate in the Australian Tournaments like Cricket ACT and Northern Territory Cricket. ACT participates in the Women’s National Cricket League, the Future League and the Australian domestic limited-overs cricket tournament. Each of these organizations elects one of their members to represent their organization for the Cricket Australia Board of Directors and the Senior Management Team. The states are not equally represented in the board due to historical reasons. Each of the divisions and the organizations that makes up the Cricket Australia has their own duties to perform. They also have their own state or group to represent. They make sure that cricket in Australia is properly served for the people in Australia who loves it.
